Street Art Fragrances: the new perfume line inspired by contemporary urban art

With the birth of the Street Art Fragrances collection, we at Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561 wanted to dare, blending our centuries-old tradition with the purest visual avant-garde. We have created an unprecedented encounter between artistic perfumery and the vibrant energy of contemporary graffiti: two seemingly distant worlds that today mirror each other in a project that celebrates the expression of the street through the sense of smell.
The collection is the result of an extraordinary collaborative journey, which saw us working side by side with four Florentine artists and four international noses. Together, we shaped four exclusive niche fragrances in Extrait de Parfum concentration. Each creation reinterprets the visual impact of murals, transforming color into essence and redefining the canons of signature niche perfumes.
It is a sensory experience that we feel deeply as our own, suspended between our heritage in Florence and the underground spirit. The collection is not yet available for purchase, but to get a preview of these olfactory works of art, you can already sign up for our waitlist.
When street art becomes perfume
Translating urban art into an olfactory narrative means, first and foremost, capturing its ephemeral soul and visual impact. For us at Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561, street art does not represent a simple decorative element to be applied to the packaging, but the true narrative matrix of each fragrance. The language of the walls, the roughness of the alleys, the vividness of the colors, and the urgency of the graphic signs penetrate the formula to transform into liquid architecture.
A profound journey between the city, art, and perfume takes place in this collection. Graffiti is born as a powerful message impressed upon the urban space, a work destined to dialogue with passersby and change over time. In the same way, our niche fragrances occupy the space around those who wear them, leaving a trail that acts as an identity manifesto. Florence reveals itself as the perfect stage for this creative short-circuit: a historical cradle of Renaissance beauty that, today, rediscovers itself as vital, contemporary, and open to new underground languages.
The bottle thus stops being a simple container to become a total object of art—both visual and olfactory. It encloses the synergy between the writer’s flair and the perfumer’s sensitivity, sealing four Extraits de Parfum. It is our love letter to an unprecedented Florence, written with colors and breathed through the skin.
A collection between Florentine heritage and contemporary language
The Street Art Fragrances collection does not represent a break with our history, but the boldest chapter of our evolution. For us at Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561, innovating does not mean forgetting our origins, but proving that tradition does not stand still: it is a living fire that continues to evolve and feed on new stimuli. This project stems precisely from the desire to reinterpret our DNA through a visual, disruptive, and contemporary language.
The beating heart of the line is rooted in the most authentic tradition of artisanal perfumery in Florence. Every single creation is the result of rigorous production and internal research, guided by an obsessive attention to quality and formulation. We have selected precious raw materials, processing them with the care that has always distinguished us, to guarantee the maximum persistence and olfactory complexity typical of Extraits de Parfum.
In this creative short-circuit, manufacturing excellence meets the avant-garde. The centuries-old wisdom of our maison places itself at the service of urban energy, proving that haute parfumerie can dialogue with the street without losing a single fraction of its nobility. With Street Art Fragrances, Florentine craftsmanship embraces contemporary culture, giving life to an olfactory manifesto where the past becomes the guardian of the future.
Four artists, four Noses, four olfactory interpretations
The structure of this collection rests on an intimate and equal dialogue: four unique synergies in which a visual artist and a master perfumer have fused their worlds. Each fragrance is not the simple transposition of a painting, but the metamorphosis of an imagery, a sensitivity, and a creative urgency into a three-dimensional olfactory composition.
This sensory journey unfolds through four extraordinary encounters:
- Talisman: The symbolic universe of artist Carla Bru meets the bold signature of perfumer Miguel Matos.
- Urbex: The urban poetry and famous stylized stick figures of Exit Enter find a liquid voice thanks to perfumer Michele Marin.
- Daphne: The delicate and dreamlike stroke of Nian is translated into the compositional elegance of perfumer Cristiano Canali.
- Malenuvole: The narrative and surreal style of Zed1 comes to life through the sensitivity of perfumer Manuel Attardi.
Four visions in which color becomes an olfactory note and the wall becomes skin. In the following lines, we will delve into the details of each creation, exploring the individual works and the olfactory pyramids that gave body to these four extraordinary interpretations.
Talisman Extrait: shamanic energy and ancestral femininity
Talisman is an olfactory potion with a shamanic, magnetic, and deeply ritual character. This fragrance evokes a damp, earthy, and ancestral atmosphere, capable of connecting the wearer with the most primitive forces of nature. The opening startles and fascinates with an unusual accord of mushroom and cannabis, which evolves into a vibrant heart where the hypnotic sensuality of tuberose clashes with the mineral freshness of a sea breeze. The dark and impenetrable base is sealed by mystical notes of oud, leather, and patchouli.
This complex liquid architecture is born from the imagery of Carla Bru, a Florentine artist deeply marked by an experience lived in Brazil. Her street art, known for the messages of positivity and spirituality left on city walls, is dominated by powerful female figures with fiery red hair—universal symbols of energy, strength, and inner awareness.
To translate this powerful expressive charge visually and olfactorily, we entrusted the formula to Miguel Matos. An internationally renowned nose, esteemed olfactory critic, and celebrated creator of independent fragrances, Matos infused his bold, uncompromising signature into Talisman. The result is a disruptive Extrait de Parfum, a true liquid talisman that celebrates the power of transformation and the primordial strength of women.

Urbex Extrait: matter, asphalt, and metropolitan poetry
Urbex is the most urban, physical, and metropolitan fragrance in the collection. It evokes the adrenaline of a night raid, the contrast between the hardness of concrete and wet asphalt, the multiculturalism of metropolises, and the visual provocation of the urban mark. This scenario comes to life through a complex and disruptive olfactory pyramid: the opening combines clary sage, cumin, metallic notes, and geranium; the heart reveals an unprecedented asphalt accord intertwined with rose, saffron, vetiver, and cypriol; the base becomes enveloping with suede, benzoin, vanilla, and Tonkin musk.
This olfactory tale is closely linked to the imagery of Exit Enter, a Tuscan artist born in 1990. Famous for his iconic stylized character, Exit Enter has given life to a deeply poetic urban language that explores themes such as fragility, love, freedom, and the complex relationship between the individual, space, and community.
Translating this narrative into a true "olfactory Polaroid" is the Italian perfumer Michele Marin, Veronese by birth and Florentine by adoption. Marin was able to capture the instant, suspending the roughness of the street in a liquid composition of extraordinary sensitivity. The result is an Extrait de Parfum that guards the soul of a wall painted in the night: an olfactory graffiti that speaks of freedom.

Daphne Extrait: golden quiet and magical realism
Daphne reveals itself as the most intimate, luminous, and contemplative creation of the entire collection. This fragrance does not evoke the chaos of the street, but rather the golden, suspended quiet of an artist's studio, capturing the texture of the soft dust of pastels and the light filtering through the windows. Its olfactory pyramid opens with the fresh, spicy notes of ginger, pink pepper, and bergamot, only to reveal an enveloping and unexpected heart of hazelnut, Turkish rose, and coconut. The deep, reassuring base seals itself upon a warm accord of amber, opoponax, and benzoin resin.
The visual and conceptual inspiration comes from the poetic universe of Nian, a Florentine painter and muralist known for her deep research into the female figure and emotional intimacy. Her figurative painting moves gracefully between magical realism and primitivism, giving life to rarefied, dreamy, and intimately contemplative atmospheres that invite introspection.
Translating this delicate sensitivity into liquid matter is Cristiano Canali, an Italian perfumer with a prestigious international technical and creative background. Canali was able to infuse a whispered elegance into Daphne, orchestrating the contrasts between spices and gourmand notes to give life to an Extrait de Parfum that caresses the skin like a happy thought.

Malenuvole Extrait: the art of inner metamorphosis
Malenuvole is an Extrait de Parfum intimately dedicated to the concept of inner transformation. The fragrance narrates the delicate transition from restlessness to quiet, translating an intimate evolution of the spirit into olfactory notes. This metamorphosis is accomplished through a complex pyramid rich in expressive contrasts: the fresh, pungent opening based on bitter orange, bergamot, cassis, hyacinth, and petitgrain fades into an unexpected heart, where the soft sweetness of salted caramel, fig, and chocolate mousse intertwines with the audacity of galbanum and osmanthus. At the finale, the storm clears into a reassuring base of cistus labdanum, patchouli, sandalwood, and vanilla.
This olfactory tale was born in total synergy with the world of Zed1, a Florentine street artist active on the scene for over thirty years. Celebrated worldwide, Zed1 is the author of unmistakable humanoid figures and surreal worlds capable of moving in a delicate balance between sharp irony and deep melancholy—just like a sky heavy with clouds preparing to clear.
Shaping this complex visual narrative is Manuel Attardi, an independent companion Italian perfumer with an eclectic background spanning art, fashion, and experimental theater. Attardi was able to infuse a theatrical, three-dimensional cut into Malenuvole, giving life to a dynamic fragrance that mutates on the skin, transforming shadow into a caress of pure quiet.

Perfume, art, and identity: a new language
With the Street Art Fragrances collection, we at Farmacia SS. Annunziata 1561 are not abandoning our precious heritage, but projecting it into the future by putting it into dialogue with new languages, new images, and unprecedented forms of expression. This line represents the contemporary evolution of our maison: proof that artisanal tradition is not a dusty museum, but a living force capable of interpreting the spirit of its time.
In this project, Florence reveals itself beyond its classic Renaissance imagery. It becomes a dynamic city where historical stone welcomes the codes of urban art to tell the story of the present. Perfume thus transforms into a multisensory, three-dimensional work of art, where the senses of sight and smell merge to give voice to the streets and their stories.
